In October of 2015 I decided to eat nothing but bacon for 30 days to prove the benefits of a ketogenic diet. I expected a lot of people to think I was nuts and question why.
What I didn’t expect... I lost 20 pounds, my blood pressure came down 30 points, I improved my cholesterol readings, and my blood sugar also improved. My family doctor was stunned as we reviewed my results after the 30 days were over.

Even better? The amount of increased energy I had. I could finally keep up with my kids, walk the stairs without feeling winded, and do high intensity workouts at the gym without reaching exhaustion.

The best part though? Decreased hunger. I found myself only needing two meals a  day, my body began intermittent fasting without having any sort of painful induction period. I could go for 16 hours without eating and not wake up starving like I used to.
